Baby bodysuits from Maggie’s Organics are made with 100% Certified Organic Cotton, grown in Peru in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
The unique pink and blue versions (every garment is different!) are dyed by hand in the U.S. or Canada, using some of the most low-impact dyestuffs available.
No metals are used to produce this organic clothing. Instead, our dyers use three things to bind the dyes to the organic cotton fiber: a special vinegar-base detergent, a degradable fixative (soda ash), and extra time for the dyes to cure.
Both natural and hand dyed bodysuits can be machine-washed on a warm cycle, and tumble dried at a low setting.
Due to our production methods, some color bleeding may occur when pink and blue hand-dyed garments are washed, so please always wash these products with like colors or dark colors. To reduce bleeding, it’s best not to leave wet hand-dyed garments in a washing machine. Please remove promptly from the wash and either hang or machine dry.
