Maggie’s Organics Stuffed Animals, available here, are a barrel of fun for your favorite small person – and another way we do our small part to create eco-friendly, organic products.

These colorful, cuddly companions are designed and produced by our partners at Opportunity Threads, a worker-owned sewing cooperative in Morgantown, North Carolina.

The worker-owners in Morgantown have developed an ingenious way to make something new and beautiful from the excess fabric, irregulars and mill scrap left over when we make our other organic clothing products –socks, scarves, and shirts.

By creatively re-using raw materials, we’re putting less trash into landfills while offering more great products for families.

The ever-growing Maggie’s Organics Menagerie features:

• Barnyard Animals: Your choice of cows in black or purple, sheep in black and white, or colorful tie-dyed chickens
• Penguins: A pink hat (made from remnants of our popular tie- dye knee-hi socks) helps this friendly bird stand out in a crowd.
• Sock Monkeys: The original creation which got Opportunity Threads off the ground. Each one is hand sewn and each Sock Monkey is unique. (Sorry, we can’t guarantee advance color choices.)

All of Maggie’s Organic stuffed animals are machine washable. They have small parts – safe for all ages.
